a few more pics...

Here's just a few more pics we love...

The many faces of Elliot

Many of you have asked us... "does that kid ever have his eyes open?" Well, here's proof!  Elliot makes the funniest faces and we finally caught some on film.  We had a lovely visit with Jason's family: Lonnie, Merilee and Kristen,  who visited us from Sacramento.  We even managed to get up to Mt. Lemmon for a night where we were able to escape the unbearable Tucson heat and eat delicious pie! Elliot has really chunked out lately and weighs in at 9lbs, 12oz!  We had a beautiful monsoon rain yesterday and are hoping for more soon....
Hope it's cool wherever you are...

Elliot @ 3.5 weeks

Elliot is 3 1/2 weeks now!  It's hard to believe that he has only been here that long and amazing to realize how well we know him already, like he's been here for years.  He is now 8lbs 12oz and growing every day, still mostly in his cheeks and thighs.  I realized that since daddy is the photographer, he is poorly represented in pictures!  So, here is proof that he actually exists during a sweet moment in the glider with Elliot.  Elliot made his big debut at a friends party on Saturday night and slept through most of it, waking up at the end to greet his fans.  He is still mostly sleeping, eating, sleeping, eating...but we see glimpses of more awake time and his smiles are becoming more frequent much to our delight!
love to all!

elliot smiles...

Hey all,
Elliot continues to amaze and amuse us!  He now weighs 8 lbs 12 oz!  As you can see, he has gained most of it in his cheeks...like mom, like son!  He had his first "real" bath this week in our kitchen sink and loved it. he was so calm until we took him out...
We had a great visit with my dear friend Jen and her girls who came from Oakland just to meet Elliot!  Jen and I have known each other since jr. high school.  Jason enjoyed his first fathers day and our first date out without Elliot!  Nanny and Poppy graciously babysat while jason and I went to the movies!  We thought about Elliot the whole time, but were able to enjoy ourselves anyway!  It's truly amazing how these little people take over your lives and your hearts!
We love hearing from you even if we don't get back right away...know we are thinking of you all!
love from the blakes!

8 lbs of love

Elliot continues to grow...his first doctor visit was yesterday and he's 8lbs now!  I'm not surprised with all the eating he has been doing!  After our appointment, the three of us went out for breakfast.  Jason and I felt "almost" normal being out amongst the real world...we've been very secluded in our cozy little house!  We had a visit from Greer, Jeff, Kiley and Baby Nate yesterday.  Nate and Elliot are destined to be the best of friends (whether they like it or not!)  They are part of what we like to call the "boys club", all of my girlfriends have had boys so we're excited for them to grow up together!  We're getting ready for a visit with Jason's Dad and Merilee who are coming from Sacramento on the 20th!  we're very excited for them to meet little Elliot!!!

Elliot @ 1 week...

hi elliot fans!
He has had a busy week growing, eating and pooping!
It's true what they say about new parents having limited topics of conversation...ours
usually revolves around Elliot pooping, burping, sleeping, smiling and nursing!  He even chuckled the other day in his sleep, we wish we knew what makes him
 laugh in his dreams...
We ventured out of the house this week twice!  I had a wonderful massage by our dear friend Patty while Jason hung with Elliot...he loves his car
seat and slept the whole time!  We also went to Lowe's to introduce Elliot to the world of testosterone!
We have been extremely blessed with visitors bearing delicious food and treats all week.  We sure could get used to this kind of pampering.  My mom comes every morning and makes sure we start the day right with coffee and breakfast.  Then she gets her snuggle time with Elliot!
Tia Jenny and the kids visit as often as they can and the cousins absolutely adore him!
Thanks again for tuning in to Elliot -land and for all the wonderful support and love!
